Manuscripts that fall within the subjects covered by the Pharmacognosy Communications and that are found to be suitable for publication will be sent to at least two reviewers with expertise in the field. During the submission process, the corresponding author is requested to provide the names and contact details of two or three qualified reviewers who have experience and understanding of the subject matter of the submission. The reviewers should not be affiliated with the same institution(s) as the contributor(s), nor should they have collaborated with any of the authors of the submission within the previous two years of submission. The use of the suggested reviewers is solely at the discretion of the journals editor. The journal employs a double blind process. All reviewers and authors remain unaware of each others identities. A member of the editorial team is also assigned to each manuscript. This editorial team member will make a final decision on the manuscript based on the comments of the reviewers. The comments and suggestion (ie. acceptance/rejection/acceptance with amendments to the manuscript) are supplied to the corresponding author without supplying the reviewers identity. Where necessary, the author is requested to address the reviewers concerns and/or provide a point by point response to the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised manuscript. The review process is repeated as required until all reviewers and the editor approves the manuscript.
