ABSTRACT
Dear Readers and Authors,
I am pleased to bring you Volume 10, Issue 3 of Pharmacognosy Communications. In this issue we present new research reports examining the Pharmacognosy of several important medicinal plants including the antibacterial activity of Davidsonia pruriens F. Muell. fruit and leaf extracts, Trachiyspirum ammi (L.) Sprague ex Turrill seed extracts and Centella asiatica (L.) Urban leaf extracts. We also include a pharmacognostic review of the traditional Chinese medicine plant Ginkgo biloba, as well as a study that identifies triterpenoid components from Grewia plagiophylla K. Schum, an important medicinal plant from Kenya. An in silico study also highlights several phytochemical constituents of Azadirachta indica (commonly known as Neem) with binding affinity for cyclooxygenase and nitric oxide synthase. Read more…
