    ABSTRACT

    Dear Readers and Authors,

    I am pleased to bring you Volume 11, Issue 3 of Pharmacognosy Communications. In this issue, we present new research reports examining the pharmacognosy of several important medicinal plants including the antibacterial activity of the Australian plant species Heritiera actinophyllum (F.M.Bailey) Kosterm. leaf extracts, as well as the interactive effects of the South Asian species Terminalia arjuna (Roxb.) Wight and Arn. extracts in combination conventional antibiotics against some bacterial triggers of auto-immune inflammatory diseases. We also present a study on the smooth muscle tone modulatory activity of Neem frruit extracts. We also present a mini-review on the therapeutic benefits of Cirsium vulgare L. and Allium ursinum L.
